How the check works
EvidPic uses several independent detectors to analyze the whole image. The report shows their assessments, including where they disagree. It also looks for explicit labels left by AI generators and other technical clues it can recognize.
Compression, screenshots, resizing and editing can affect the models' assessments. Treat their results as supporting evidence, not proof that AI was used.

A file may contain information about where it came from and how it was edited: signed C2PA Content Credentials, a label from an AI generator, camera details or the name of an editing app.
These details vary in reliability. For example, anyone can change an app name stored in EXIF metadata. EvidPic shows where each piece of evidence came from and whether it passed verification.
If this information is missing, that doesn't mean the image came from a camera. Sharing, exporting or taking a screenshot can strip it away.

Start with any information about the image's origin stored in the file, and check whether it was verified. Then compare the independent models' assessments and review the technical clues.
The score reflects how strong the detected signs of AI use are. It is not the probability that the image was AI-generated.
If an important decision depends on the result, keep the original file and check where it was published. Automated checks can help you investigate an image. A check alone cannot establish who created it or how.
